Our History

From a background of marginalization, underserved, poverty, and limited opportunities, Ketty Bwambale miraculously was empowered and rose above her circumstances. Despite her cultural norms, she was successful in achieving education while managing her family concurrently. But it was through her experience that her aspirations extended far beyond personal success.  As a mother, Ketty remembered how her mother and other women in her home village struggled with life to put some food on the table for their families to survive. Through her own success, Bwambale has become a source of inspiration for women, girls, men, and boys, proving that anyone, regardless of their background, can overcome obstacles and make a lasting impact in their community. She believed that all women needed to be empowered for them to be able to manage their families. The Frustration and disappointment she experienced as a woman led her to the dream of Bliss Feme. In 2013 she dedicated her ambition without any financial aid, but only with hope, faith, and belief, and Bliss Feme was born.

“I am hopeful that we shall build a world full of happy and empowered women to inspire the next generation.”
